The Many Faces Of John . . . . . . . . . . . .

I formed Tudor Lodge in 1968.  Our first album was recorded in 1971, and our most recent CD, Unconditional, was released in 2006. I really enjoy playing bass guitar.  Late in 2006, Lynne and I started   playing in a rock covers band. It was great fun, but unfortunately, with many other commitments, I had to leave in summer 2008. From about 1962 to 1964, the Mackandas were to be seen in youth clubs the length and breadth of Reading. Those where the days...... Reading Community Radio was formed in early 2006 by Eddie Winship, who invited me to join the committee as treasurer - an offer I could not refuse.

In 2005 I became involved with working as a film extra.  I working on "Hitch-hiker's Guide To The Galaxy" and "Harry Potter and The Goblet Of Fire" Having completed Reiki 1 and 2 in 2004, it's taking me a little while to progress.  However, I do plan to work toward becoming a Reiki Master - eventually.  I am a lover of new age music, and have dabbled with a little studio work in the hope of some day producing something reasonable. Becoming part of Reading Community Radio lead to me joining Eddie Winship on his regular Thursday morning program on Blast 1386.

I qualified as a driving instructor in about 1995, and taught, on and off, until 2006. Playing bass guitar with the Gerry Dryden Band for a couple of years around 2005 & 2006 was fantastic fun.  Gerry's music is so original. In 1977 I joined a Recruitment company called Malla.  A sideways move saw me as a founding Director of The Synergy Group which we formed in 1997. CastIron Recordings is the name I use both for publishing, and my album label.
